Millicent Min and Misfits Reflections

I think it's essential that we conclude our books with reflections. Using our responses from classwork and homework, let's begin discussing our thoughts.

Hey guys,
I can connect with Bobby because i know what its like to be an outcast, it seesm like no one cares about who you are on the inside they just judge you from the outside.that affects a person harshly.

i can connect with Bobby too. I understand how he feels about being bullied because i moved like 4 times and trust me, it was not easy. when i moved in next to P.s 13, william(remember him?) he was my6 Kevin Hennessey. never missed a chance to make fun of me. if you could teach other middle schol students a lesson the aothor was trying to teach you, what would you choose? And why?

hey, everyone!
well, i think i might try millicent min if i get the chance. yes, anne. i do remember william. misfits is a good book. can anyone relate to addie? i'm the opposite of her. she is really determined, but i usually give up after a few tries. i no it's bad, but i can't help it. i'm like bobby. just following along.

i can sort of relate to her because remember when she encouraged bobby? well i sort of do that for my friends to if they are in need. She is determined, and mostly, i am too. mostly, she is ambitious. she is kinda hyper and dramatic, like i am. and even more, she isnt a girly girl, yet boy crazy., which i am too. she isnt really a tom-boy either, which is also like me. can anyone relate to Skeezie? in the beginning, we kinda paid attention to him but then when the author atsrted really getting into the plot, he was kind lost among the others. we never really heard much about him except that he was refferred to as " that young hooligan" but he had a big heart inside. what do you think?

I think the character that changed the most in the book was Bobby. At first, he was shy and afraid to express his feelings, due to what he thought others would say. Later on, Bobby gained confidence and started to express his feelings more, whether it was out loud or in his head. He was always a thoughtful person, and that never changed anywhere in the book. Bobby still tried his best, even though he didn't have a mother. At the end, Bobby turned out more confident than ever.

Dayann, what do you think of Misfits?

Anne said...

i think you are completely right but to add on, i think he gained confidence with the encouragement and advice that others gave him. In addition, I think he started to believe in himself with the influence of Addie. They worked on the campaign together and I think Addie's confidence was seen by Bobby and he learned from it. I also think this goes to show that you should appreciate others around you.
